MERITUS are recruiting for a Production Operative to join our client within the Aerospace sector to support on the growth of their production line. In particular, you will be working within the Masking departments, supporting coatings on innovative products.

PRODUCTION OPERATIVE - £25,000 PER ANNUM + SHIFT UPLIFT - AEROSPACE - CONWY, WALES - FAST MOVING PROCESS

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer operating within the aerospace sector. This company is a global innovator in precision manufacturing and plays a key role in supplying critical components for aerospace applications. The position is based at a modern manufacturing facility in Colwyn Bay, North Wales, and offers an exciting opportunity to join a high-performance team involved in the application of specialist coatings.

This role is ideal for individuals with experience in manufacturing or aerospace who are confident working to high standards of quality and consistency in a structured, process-driven environment.


Shift Pattern (Rotating):

Week 1:

  • Monday to Thursday: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm

  • Friday: 6:00 am – 1:30 pm

Week 2:

  • Monday to Thursday: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm

  • Friday: 11:30 am – 7:00 pm


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform masking operations as part of a critical aerospace component manufacturing process

  • Read and follow fixed process work instructions with accuracy

  • Operate within strict quality and safety guidelines

  • Handle components with care, ensuring precise masking and preparation

  • Support team members with additional production tasks where required

  • Maintain accurate documentation and records during production

  • Work to high standards of cleanliness and organisation


Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in aerospace or manufacturing environments (strongly preferred)

  • Familiarity with fixed process controls and critical part handling

  • Experience with nickel-plating or similar finishing processes (advantageous)

  • Excellent manual dexterity and ability to maintain concentration for extended periods

  • Physically capable of manual handling tasks

  • Patient, methodical, and detail-focused work approach

  • Basic computer literacy (e.g., Microsoft Office)

  • Willingness to travel for training, including internationally if required
