MERITUS Talent are working with one of the World's largest Aerospace & Avaition organisations for the recruitment of a Project Coordinator to join their team in Oxford on a contract basis, for an intial 6 month contract. The role is fully onsite, and paying £60 per hour via an umbrella company. The successful candidate must willing and eligible to undergo SC Clearance.

Overview

A high-tempo aviation programme delivering rotary-wing capability for UK defence is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to join the team during a critical phase of delivery. The role involves supporting a fast-paced deployment across two international sites, working closely with the service delivery function to ensure the programme remains on schedule and aligned with contractual requirements.

Flexibility, collaboration, and the ability to manage complexity are key. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and adjusting the project schedule in line with evolving requirements, ensuring dependencies, risks, and resource constraints are clearly understood and managed.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the project schedule to ensure key deliverables are met on time

  • Facilitate project reviews, reporting on performance and lessons learned

  • Monitor and escalate project risks, working with the delivery team to implement mitigation strategies

  • Support regular drumbeat and ad-hoc project meetings

  • Present updates to internal and external stakeholders


Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proficient in project scheduling using Primavera P6(or similar tools)

  • Demonstrable experience delivering complex, multi-disciplinary projects

  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement and communication across teams

  • Strong project controls knowledge: risk management, critical path analysis, and time/cost/quality tracking

  • Understanding of project financial and contractual management

  • Confident presenting progress, challenges, and recommendations to senior leadership

  • Familiarity with Part 145, Part 21, and CAMO regulations or equivalent UK MoD Military Airworthiness Authority framework

  • Strong organisational, negotiation, and interpersonal skills


Desirable Skills

  • Experience working with SAP

  • Background in capture management or bid development

  • Aerospace or defence industry experience in a technical or project delivery role

  • Understanding of Export Control and ITAR requirements
