Overview
function primarily provides Systems Engineering expertise to programmes with in-service Missile Systems. Our work helps sustain and enhance customer capabilities through the delivery of product increments and spirals.
Both System Design functions support project teams with systems engineering skills, including establishing requirements, defining system architectures, and guiding the verification and validation process. This leads to product certification and acceptance by the customer and relevant assurance bodies. Our role also includes providing assurance for system-level performance, security, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the bid strategy for Systems Engineering as part of CAMM Obsolescence Phase 2
- Coordinate with multiple sub-system stakeholders to deliver the Design Assurance and Certification Plan for CAMM Obsolescence Phase 2 at missile level
- Provide support for CAMM Export Certification
- Support the Land Ceptor ICBS Certification process
- Provide regular status reporting to the project leadership team
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong background in Systems Engineering, particularly in:
- Requirements management and use case analysis
- System architecture design, justification and traceability
- Interface definition
- Design assurance and verification planning
- Certification processes
- Proficient in Rational DOORS, including:
- Creating and managing requirements modules
- Managing requirement verification modules
- Working within formal change control processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to produce clear, concise technical documentation
- Effective communication and time management skills, with the ability to work well with others
