HR & PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR x2 - INSIDE IR35 - £21.30 PER HOUR - 12 MONTHS - BELFAST, NORTHERN IRELAND - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS

We’re looking for two proactive and detail-driven HR & Payroll Administrators to take ownership of critical HR data that supports accurate and timely payroll each month. This is a hands-on role where you’ll ensure our local time and attendance system runs smoothly, our people data stays precise, and our teams are supported with clear, timely information.

You’ll be the go-to person for managers and employees when it comes to time and attendance queries, working closely with our our client's payroll colleagues in North Wales to make sure everything is processed correctly and on schedule. Your work will directly support payroll accuracy, employee experience, and HR efficiency across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Management: Maintain and oversee the site’s time and attendance system (Google Appsheet), ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.

  • Data Accuracy: Record and validate employee hours, overtime, absences, and leave types with precision and timeliness.

  • Support & Resolution: Be the first point of contact for time and attendance queries—providing clear guidance and resolving issues professionally and efficiently.

  • Reporting: Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports to support payroll processing, management insights, and HR analytics.

  • Data Entry & Administration: Manage uploads, manual entries, and adjustments as needed. Complete payroll input sheets, new starter forms, and other HR documentation.

  • Leave Management: Oversee the administration of all leave types including annual, sickness, parental, and other absences.

  • Audit & Compliance: Identify and correct any discrepancies or system alerts, maintaining the integrity of time and attendance data at all times.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience: At least 2 years in HR or payroll administration, with a strong understanding of data handling and process accuracy.

  • Adaptability: Able to thrive in a dynamic environment, staying calm, organised, and solution-focused.

  • Technical Skills: Confident working with time and attendance systems and Google Workspace—especially Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.

  • Attention to Detail: Naturally meticulous, with a track record of maintaining accuracy in fast-paced environments.

  • Communication: Clear and confident communicator—both written and verbal—with a collaborative approach.

  • Organisation: Excellent time management skills, able to juggle multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

  • Problem Solving: Proactive in identifying issues and following them through to resolution.

  • Confidentiality: Trusted to handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in data entry or HRIS (Human Resources Information System) platforms

  • Familiarity with end-to-end payroll administration processes
