MERITUS are recruiting for a Skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our aviation client in Oxford in an initial 3 month contract.
MECHANICAL FITTER - INSIDE IR35 - £21.05 PAYE - 3 MONTHS - OXFORD - UNDERGO SC CLEARANCE - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS
Experience, Knowledge & Abilities
- Ability to work as part of a team, and on own initiative, as well as to high standards to ensure the continued, safe operation of the aircraft.
- Able to work in confined spaces
- Experience of helicopter systems
- Flexible with a positive approach and genuine enthusiasm for the role.
- Reliable with ability to remain calm when under pressure.
- Well organised and methodical – paying attention to detail.
- Able to work to a shift pattern, as required.
- Ability to accurately interpret detailed mechanical drawings and associated data
- Have recent experience of manufacturing brackets and fittings from sheet metal
- Recent experience of on and off aircraft repairs using sheet material
- Experience of riveting techniques and ability to carry out riveting on and off the aircraft
Education, Qualifications & Special Training
- Completed a formal aviation apprenticeship or related discipline.
- Experience on Helicopters.
- Driving license
