MERITUS are recruiting for a Paint Sprayer to join our client within the Aviation sector in a permanent position from their site in Blackwood.

PAINT SPRAYER - £28,000 PER ANNUM - PERMANENT - BLACKWOOD, WALES - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS

Key Responsibilities:

• Calculate and mix ratios for sealants, fillers, and paint.

• Apply primer, topcoat, and spray coatings to aircraft parts in compliance with specifications.

• Perform straight masking operations.

• Carry out minor filling tasks to enhance the cosmetic finish of parts.

• Prepare and rub down surfaces prior to painting.

• Collaborate effectively as part of a team.

• Contribute to projects and support Continuous Improvement initiatives.

• Adapt to business needs, including working various shift patterns as required.

• Learn and follow scope-of-work documentation procedures and develop knowledge of assigned parts within the evaluation period.

• Take responsibility for the quality and completion of own work.

• Work safely to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and ensure both product airworthiness and accuracy of documentation and parts control.

Position Requirements:

• Previous experience in aircraft painting within a manufacturing environment preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret manufacturer specifications, overhaul manuals, and part-specific planning.

• Ability to accurately document work performed.

• Strong arithmetic and English (reading and writing) skills, with the ability to follow detailed written instructions and maintain a high level of attention to detail.

• Competent computer skills, including accessing repair documentation online and using in-house production applications.
