MERITUS Talent are working with one of the World's largest aviation and aerospace organisations for the recruitment of a Project Engineer to join their Broughton site on an initial 12 Month contract. The role is requires someone to be onsite full time and is paying £37 per hour via Umbrella.
Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer to join the engineering function, supporting production ramp-up activities at the Broughton site. The role focuses on the industrialisation of tooling and equipment, ensuring the successful delivery of engineering projects and ongoing support to manufacturing operations.
This position is full-time and fully on-site, requiring close collaboration with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities

Lead the industrialisation of Jigs and Tools Requests and associated projects – from creation and development through to modification, final acceptance, and handover to operations.

Integrate mature industrial technologies in collaboration with R&D teams.

Work closely with R&D to align requirements and consolidate the organisation’s industrial vision.

Design and/or specify tooling assets in line with production requirements.

Provide technical support to cross-functional teams for production investigations, applying tooling and metrology expertise.
Key Outputs

Interpretation of aircraft design models and translation into operational requirements and support.

Definition of certification, re-certification, qualification, and re-qualification processes, including associated features and schedules.
Required Skills & Experience

Strong ability to operate from first principles within manufacturing disciplines, applying technical expertise to daily business decisions.

Working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, Design Systems, and Business Information Systems.

Proven experience in aircraft production and engineering methods.

Understanding of relationships and interactions between manufacturing, engineering, and business functions.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Previous experience in a manufacturing and engineering environment is essential.
