Project Planner | Nuclear Industry | Stone, Staffordshire | £Neg (Enquire for details) | SC Eligibility Required

MERITUS are excited to be working with an advanced Systems Integration Consultancy based in Staffordshire, they're looking for an experienced P6 Project Planner to join their Nuclear division.

This role offers the opportunity to work on multi-million-pound control system projects, covering the full lifecycle from requirements definition through to commissioning and ongoing support. You’ll be instrumental in developing best-in-class project controls, leading planning activities, and ensuring successful delivery within highly regulated environments.

This is an exciting position for a motivated individual with strong Primavera P6 expertise, excellent organisational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional results in complex industrial projects.

The company are based in Stone, Staffordshire & operate hybrid working with 3 days per week in the office. Please note they require candidates to be eligible for SC level security clearance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead project planning activities using Primavera P6, producing and maintaining detailed schedules and resource allocation plans.

  • Develop and maintain robust project controls, tools, and reporting processes to optimise project performance.

  • Liaise with internal teams, external stakeholders, and supply chain partners to coordinate project activities.

  • Report on progress, resource utilisation, and commercial performance to the senior management team.

  • Provide mentoring and coaching to planning team members to strengthen P6 capability across the business.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience using Primavera P6 in complex project environments.

  • Strong knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts, ideally with CEMAR experience.

  • Background in delay claims, forensic planning, and producing impact programmes.

  • Skilled in risk management, project controls, and performance reporting.

  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines.
