ZUKEN E3 ENGINEER - INSIDE IR35 - £65 PER HOUR - 6 MONTHS - STEVENAGE, HERTFORDSHIRE - SC CLEARED (OR WILLING TO UNDERGO) SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS

An anonymous client is seeking a Zuken E3 Engineer to join their Interconnects Team within Electronic Engineering. The role focuses on the design and definition of cable and harness systems using Zuken E3, supporting the full product development lifecycle and ensuring high-quality, compliant interconnect solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret subsystem requirements to generate electrical schematics and cable design definitions using Zuken E3.

• Provide guidance, support, and issue resolution for E3 users across the product lifecycle.

• Investigate cable and harness issues, developing solutions individually or as part of a project team.

• Support manufacturing and functional/environmental product trials with design expertise.

• Develop and implement processes and best practices for electrical topology, wiring schematics, and 2D manufacturing drawings.

• Maintain product data integrity and manage changes within PLM tools (e.g., Windchill).

Requirements:

• 2–5 years’ experience using Zuken E3.Cable (E3.Formboard and E3.3D Transformer desirable).

• Proven ability to define, deploy, and refine E3 design processes and standards.

• Experience providing technical instruction and support to other E3 users.

• Strong understanding of electrical constraints (current, screening, signal types, volt drop, EMC, environmental requirements) in cable design.

• Knowledge of cable assembly production and process engineering.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience with PTC CREO Cabling is a plus.
