MERITUS are recruiting for Avionics Technicians to join a growing MRO business based in Miami in a permanent position. We require someone with existing MRO Avionics experience from a qualified background.

AVIONICS TECHNICIAN - MIAMI, FLORIDA - $40 per hour - PERMANENT POSITION - FAST MOVING PROCESS - SECTOR: MRO / AEROSPACE

Meritus are partnered with a growing aerospace MRO organisation in Miami supporting commercial and business jet maintenance programmes. Due to continued expansion and increasing maintenance demand, we are seeking experienced Avionics Technicians to join a high-performing maintenance team working across heavy maintenance, modifications, troubleshooting, and avionics installations.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern FAA Part 145 environment offering stable long-term work, overtime opportunities, and exposure to a wide range of aircraft platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform avionics installations, modifications, and troubleshooting activities
  • Carry out inspection, testing, and repair of aircraft electrical and avionics systems
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and maintenance manuals
  • Support heavy maintenance and scheduled inspection programmes
  • Conduct system checks and operational testing following installation or repair
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with FAA regulations and company quality standards
  • Accurately complete maintenance documentation and work records

Required Experience

  • 3+ years of avionics maintenance experience within MRO, commercial, military, or business aviation environments
  • Experience with aircraft troubleshooting and electrical systems repair
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and wiring schematics
  • Strong understanding of FAA maintenance procedures and safety standards
  • Previous experience within a Part 145 environment preferred
  • A&P License beneficial but not essential
