MERITUS are recruiting for an HR Advisor to join a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to develop their career within a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Working across multiple HR disciplines, you will support HR Business Partners and business leaders in delivering key people initiatives while ensuring HR policies, processes, and employee lifecycle activities are managed effectively.
The role combines generalist HR support, employee relations, people data analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement activities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both operational HR and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and employees.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, talent management, learning and development, and reward activities.
- Advise managers on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, and absence management processes.
- Respond to HR policy and process queries, ensuring consistent application of procedures.
- Produce and analyse HR reports, identifying trends and potential people risks.
- Support workforce planning and HR decision-making through accurate data analysis.
- Maintain HR systems and employee records to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
- Support the delivery of HR projects, campaigns, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with managers and stakeholders across the business.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
- Previous experience within an HR Advisor, HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, or HR Specialist role.
- Good understanding of HR policies, processes, and employee relations practices.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to interpret HR data.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- CIPD Level 7 qualification or working towards.
- Experience within a large, complex, or matrix organisation.
- Experience supporting HR projects, organisational change, or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of HR systems and workforce analytics.
