Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead A&P Mechanic to join an aviation maintenance operation in Florida. This role is focused on line maintenance performance, real time troubleshooting, and shift level leadership within a fast paced FAA regulated environment.

This is a hands on position for a senior A&P mechanic who is confident working under pressure, solving technical defects, and guiding small teams through efficient aircraft turnaround and return to service.

Key Responsibilities
Lead daily line maintenance activities across assigned aircraft and operational areas
Provide on shift leadership to A&P mechanics and technicians during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
Troubleshoot and diagnose aircraft defects across airframe, powerplant, and systems
Perform and oversee inspections, repairs, and component replacements in accordance with FAA standards
Ensure all maintenance work is completed in compliance with approved data, company procedures, and regulatory requirements
Support AOG recovery situations and time critical maintenance events
Coordinate workflow to ensure aircraft are delivered on time and operational targets are met
Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure full documentation compliance
Act as the escalation point for technical issues during shift operations
Promote strong safety practices and ensure adherence to all FAA and company safety standards
Support communication between maintenance control, parts, and operations teams
Assist in mentoring junior mechanics and supporting team development on shift

Candidate Requirements
FAA Airframe and Powerplant License required
Strong experience in line maintenance or fast paced base maintenance environments
Proven ability in aircraft troubleshooting and defect rectification
Experience working within FAA regulated Part 145, airline, MRO, or equivalent operations
Previous exposure to shift leadership, crew leading, or informal team supervision
Ability to interpret technical manuals, maintenance data, and engineering documentation
Strong communication skills and ability to make practical decisions under pressure
Comfortable working in operational environments where aircraft availability is critical

Desirable Experience
Widebody or narrowbody commercial aircraft experience
AOG response or rapid turnaround operations
Night shift or rotating shift experience
Avionics troubleshooting exposure beyond basic fault finding
