MERITUS are recruiting for a PA to join our client within the defence and technology sector on a 12-month contract from their site in Portsmouth. This role will require candidates to undergo BPSS clearance and offers the opportunity to support senior stakeholders within a fast-paced, highly technical environment.
PERSONAL ASSISTANT (PA) - INSIDE IR35 - £20 PER HOUR - PORTSMOUTH - 12 MONTHS - BPSS CLEARANCE - ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT - TWO STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS - SECTOR: DEFENCE & TECHNOLOGY
This position operates on a standard 37-hour week across 4.5 days, working between 07:00 and 19:00 subject to business requirements. The role is primarily site-based in Portsmouth with minimal travel requirements.
As a PA, you will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to senior leadership and wider business functions, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of a busy and dynamic department. Acting as a central point of coordination, you will support multiple stakeholders across engineering, project management, quality and finance functions.
You will be responsible for managing complex diaries, coordinating meetings, arranging travel, preparing business documentation and presentations, tracking actions from senior leadership meetings and supporting business reporting activities. Skillset/experience required:
What can you bring to the role?
- Previous experience as a PA, Secretary, Executive Assistant or Administrative Assistant
- Experience supporting senior managers or department heads within a corporate environment
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Experience managing complex diaries, meetings and travel arrangements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to prepare presentations, reports and business correspondence
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Experience producing business reports and tracking actions from meetings
- Proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure
- A relevant secretarial or administrative qualification would be advantageous
