MERITUS are recruiting for a Quality Conformance Engineer to join our client within the aerospace and manufacturing sector on a long-term contract from their site in Filton. This is a full-time onsite role and will require candidates to undergo BPSS clearance prior to starting.

QUALITY CONFORMANCE ENGINEER - INSIDE IR35 - £31.30 PER HOUR - FILTON - LONG-TERM CONTRACT - BPSS CLEARANCE - QUALITY IMPROVEMENT - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS - SECTOR: AEROSPACE & MANUFACTURING

This position operates on a standard 35-hour week across 4.5 days, working between 07:00 and 19:00 subject to business requirements. A compressed 4-day working week may also be available.

As a Quality Conformance Engineer, you will play a key role in driving quality improvements across manufacturing operations, supporting the reduction of non-quality costs through the analysis of KPIs, trend identification and the implementation of corrective actions. Working closely with quality, manufacturing and multifunctional teams, you will ensure quality standards are maintained while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

You will be responsible for analysing quality data, leading investigations into technical quality issues, facilitating quality improvement projects and supporting the implementation of quality tools and problem-solving methodologies. The role will also involve working closely with operational teams to improve processes, drive compliance and support quality performance objectives.

Skillset/experience required:

What can you bring to the role?

  • Previous experience within a Quality Engineer, Quality Conformance Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer position
  • Experience working within quality conformance, quality assurance or quality improvement environments
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to produce reports, trends and graphs using spreadsheets
  • Experience analysing KPIs and quality performance metrics
  • Lineside quality, manufacturing quality or inspection experience
  • Experience conducting quality investigations and implementing corrective actions
  • Knowledge of quality improvement techniques and problem-solving methodologies
  • Experience working with multifunctional teams to deliver business improvements
  • Strong communication and report writing skills
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
  • Process improvement experience within manufacturing, engineering or aerospace environments
  • Aircraft quality attestation or aerospace quality experience would be advantageous
