MERITUS are recruiting for a Structures Technician to join a client within the MRO space who are rapidly growing after a recent facilities investment. We are looking for those with three + years of experience within the MRO / Aerospace world.

STRUCTURES TECHNICIAN - $42 per hour - Miami, Florida - PERMANENT - FAST-MOVING PROCESS - SECTOR: MRO / AEROSPACE

Meritus are partnered with a leading aerospace MRO organisation in Miami supporting commercial and business jet maintenance programmes across heavy maintenance and aircraft modification activity. Due to increasing workload and programme expansion, we are seeking experienced Structures Technicians to join a growing maintenance team within a fast-paced FAA Part 145 environment.

This position offers long-term programme stability, overtime availability, and the opportunity to work on a variety of structural repair and modification projects across multiple aircraft platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform structural repairs, modifications, and installations on aircraft airframes
  • Carry out sheet metal repairs and structural fitting activities
  • Interpret engineering drawings, SRMs, blueprints, and technical documentation
  • Remove and install aircraft structural components as required
  • Conduct inspections to identify structural defects, corrosion, or damage
  • Support heavy maintenance and aircraft modification programmes
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with FAA regulations and quality standards
  • Accurately complete maintenance and inspection documentation

Required Experience

  • 3+ years of aircraft structures experience within MRO, commercial aviation, military aviation, or business jet environments
  • Strong sheet metal and structural repair experience
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and structural repair manuals
  • Experience with drilling, riveting, fitting, and fabrication techniques
  • Knowledge of FAA maintenance procedures and compliance standards
  • Previous experience within a Part 145 maintenance environment preferred
